Our Plan for Ministry During Covid 19 & Beyond

To safeguard the health of the SRBC family, in person worship was suspended on July 8. We begin regathering for in person worship on August 2.

CDC guidelines will be in place including social distancing, limited seating, and an emphasis on facial masks. Online worship will still be available. Everyone is encouraged to make a wise personal decision regarding your health as you consider in person worship

Regathering will be a gradual process as additional ministries are restarted over time.

The goal during this phase is to reconnect with every person who attended SRBC prior to COVID-19 as well as those who have participated in online worship. We believe we should reconnect with 600-700 people. We will track in person and online attendance and seek accurate, not inflated, data related to online attendance.

Reconnecting will involve church staff, deacons, teachers, leaders, and volunteers. We will seek to discover ministry needs, strengthen the church family, and encourage all persons whether they worship on-campus or online.

The time will come when COVID-19 does not dominate our decisions. At that time we will reevaluate our ministry and ask some probing questions. We will determine what percentage of our pre-pandemic attendees have returned. We will evaluate how the pandemic has impacted our Bible study classes. We will evaluate our worship schedule, small groups, music ministry, budgeting, evangelism, and missions. We will evaluate our staffing, programming, and our Wednesday and Sunday night schedules. This period of reevaluation will lead to a plan for the future of SRBC's ministry.

Following COVID-19, we will rebuild the ministry of SRBC for the purpose of reaching people with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We will be visionary as we adapt our ministry to meet the needs of  a growing community. Our preschool, children, and youth ministries will be vital to our future. Reaching millenials and Gen Z will go hand in hand with ministry to median and senior adults as we continue our focus on an inter-generational ministry. Worship will be focused on leading people to glorify God and encounter Christ. Missions and evangelism will be at the forefront of our ministry effort.

Gather. Grow. Go.
